Drawpin is an offline-first application. We do not collect your personal information, user accounts, photos, markup annotations, or snag reports. All site data stays 100% on your device. The only data we may receive is anonymized application error reports to diagnose and fix technical crashes.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
Unlike traditional cloud-based project management platforms, Drawpin is engineered to operate without account registration or mandatory cloud sync. As a result:
- No User Accounts: We do not require or collect your name, email address, phone number, or login credentials.
- No Photo or Annotation Access: Photos captured or imported into Drawpin, along with any pins, sketches, and notes, are stored strictly within your device's local application sandbox. We have no access to your photos or reports.
- No Location Tracking: We do not track, log, or transmit your physical GPS location.
- No Behavioral Tracking: We do not use third-party advertising SDKs or tracking cookies to monitor your activity.
2. Information We May Collect (Application Errors & Diagnostics Only)
To ensure app stability and troubleshoot bugs, the application may automatically collect non-personally identifiable diagnostic and error data when a crash occurs:
- Technical Diagnostics: Stack traces, operating system version, device hardware model, app version, and timestamp of the error event.
- Zero Personal Content: Error reports contain strictly technical code stack information. They never include your photos, snag notes, file names, or personal identities.
This diagnostic data is used exclusively to improve the reliability, performance, and compatibility of Drawpin.
3. Local Device Storage and Permissions
Drawpin requests only the device permissions strictly necessary to perform its functions:
- Camera: Used solely to allow you to capture photos on site for annotation within the app.
- Photo Library / Storage: Used solely to allow you to import existing images from your gallery and save exported snag reports to your device.
These permissions are executed entirely on-device and do not transmit data to our servers.
4. Sharing and Exporting Reports
When you use the "Save or Share" feature in Drawpin to send reports via WhatsApp, Email, Messages, or AirDrop, the transfer is executed directly through the native operating system share sheet. Your shared images and files are transmitted directly to your chosen recipient according to the privacy terms of that third-party application.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Because all photos and defect lists reside locally on your device, you maintain complete control over your data. You can delete individual photos, pins, or snag entries at any time inside the app. Uninstalling Drawpin or clearing application data will permanently remove all locally stored markup files from your device.
6. Children's Privacy
Drawpin is a professional camera markup utility designed for site workers, contractors, and inspectors. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect improvements or operational changes. Any updates will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
